Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a vigilant and safety-conscious Flagger for Forklift to join our construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for directing forklift traffic and ensuring safe movement of heavy equipment and materials on construction sites, particularly within roadway and civil infrastructure projects. Your energetic presence will help maintain smooth operations, prevent accidents, and uphold safety protocols in dynamic outdoor environments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale infrastructure development while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. Duties Safely direct forklift operators and heavy machinery around construction zones, ensuring compliance with safety standards and traffic control plans Use hand signals, flags, or signage to communicate effectively with equipment operators and ground personnel Monitor work zones for potential hazards, including heavy equipment operation, utility locating, and roadway conditions Assist in setting up and maintaining traffic control devices in accordance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations Support heavy equipment operation such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, dump trucks, front loader trucks, and paving machinery when needed Ensure all safety protocols are followed during outdoor work activities, including heavy lifting and manual handling tasks Collaborate with team members on roadway construction projects to facilitate smooth workflow and prevent accidents Qualifications Prior experience in construction site roles, especially road construction or highway maintenance projects
