Looking for a local CDL-A position with home-daily schedules and no long-haul driving? Join our dedicated Lafayette operation moving CAT engines and gensets between nearby production facilities. This is a yard shuttle position with approximately 250 yards between the plant and production facility . Drivers average about 8 engine moves per day , with the ability to move two engines at a time . 💰

HOME DAILY

•LOCAL SHUTTLE Monday-Saturday schedule with some Sundays Starting schedule is approximately 40 hours/week May transition to approximately 50 hours/week Home Daily 1st

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Shuttle CAT engines/gensets between Building B and Building C Approximately 250-yard distance between facilities Average approximately 8 engine moves per day Ability to load and move 2 engines at a time Perform local yard moves only — no over-the-road driving Secure loads using straps Complete required yard driving test 🚚

Yard Hostler Kenworth Day Cab Conestoga / Flatbed equipment On-site parking provided ✅

DRIVER REQUIREMENTS

Valid CDL-A Prior yard jockey experience within the past year OR At least 6 months of recent CDL-A driving experience Flatbed experience preferred Must successfully complete yard driving test Must be willing to perform load securement No prior securement experience? No problem — training is provided upon hiring. 📍

ORIENTATION

Orientation is in Lafayette, IN . Onsite classes are held Tuesdays only Dedicated orientation information available through the company orientation portal.
