Heavy Equipment Operator

  • Temporary, Part-time, Full-time, Contract We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery used in construction, excavation, other site development projects, and loading trucks. Duties include safely operating equipment such as bulldozers, excavators to move materials, grade surfaces, and assist with site preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate heavy equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, and backhoes safely and effectively. Inspect equipment daily before operation and perform basic maintenance and cleaning. Follow site and company safety policies and procedures. Communicate with site supervisors, crew members, and other operators to ensure efficiency and safety. Grade, level, and excavate surfaces according to specifications. Load materials. Keep accurate logs of equipment usage and maintenance. Perform other construction-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred. Proven experience as a heavy equipment operator (3+ years preferred). Valid heavy equipment operator certification or relevant licenses Knowledge of proper operation and maintenance of equipment. Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures.
