Job Description

Job Summary:
The Equipment Operator holds a union position and is responsible for operating various equipment used in road, site, and highway construction.
Essential Functions:
Mastery. Operate heavy equipment of varying sizes and capacities used in road, site, and highway construction, including but not limited to pavers, shuttle buggies, rollers, graders, rubber tire excavators, and other equipment as required. Assist in maintenance and other physical duties as needed on the job site. Protect Family and Friends. Consistently wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with all company policies and OSHA safety regulations; promptly report safety concerns, equipment issues, or incidents to the Construction Manager. Follow Daily Procedures & Protocols as set forth in job orientations & trainings. Compulsive tinkering. Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform preventive maintenance; clean equipment and report defects or repair needs to a supervisor. Focused. Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors, both in person and through two-way radios. Work-life rhythm. Maintain reliable attendance and demonstrate dependability and consistency in meeting scheduled work hours. PI284431846
