Job Description

Salary Range:

$53,721.58 to $67,974.64/annually The Town of Weymouth is currently accepting applications for a Heavy Equipment Operator. Operates front -end loader which may have backhoe attachments, motorized sweeper, bull dozer, roller, snow loader, catch basin cleaner operated by hydraulic hoist, sewer cleaning machine or other equipment of similar weight and complexity in any of the wide variety of operations characteristics of Public Works operation. May operate intermittently the type of equipment normally assigned to the Special Heavy Motor Equipment Operators classification. May service and follow prescribed maintenance procedures with respect, to assigned equipment units. Performs labor incidental to the work of operating assigned equipment, or any other labor task or work of Maintenance Man or Motor Equipment Operator.

Minimum Qualifications :

High School Graduate, experience in the operation of heavy equipment; or any equivalent combination of training and experience. Considerable knowledge of the mechanics of the varied equipment involved. Demonstrated skill in operations equipment unit or units to which assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

CDL class B minimum and Mass Hoisting license.
