Job Description

PROJECT DURATION
This contracted position is tied to a specific twelve (12)-month project located in Easton, Maryland . Upon successful completion of the project, long-term opportunities within the organization may be considered for interested candidates. Scaffold Resource has been a fixture and steady force in the Mid-Atlantic region s scaffold and vertical access industry for more than two decades. Created in 1998, Scaffold Resource has grown in its ability to provide a vast array of vertical access services. It has successfully accomplished this task while expanding its customer base and project capabilities to meet the demands of every conceivable challenge it has been contracted to complete.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES
This position reports directly to the Hoist Division Manager and is responsible for operating construction hoists to safely transport scaffold materials, equipment, and personnel on active commercial job sites. Specific duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Operate construction hoists to safely transport scaffold materials, equipment, and personnel to various elevations on active job sites. Conduct pre-shift inspections of hoist systems, controls, cables, safety devices, and loading platforms to ensure proper operation. Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and site-specific lifting and access procedures. Monitor hoist capacities and load distribution to prevent overloading and ensure safe transportation of materials. Assist in organizing scaffold materials and maintaining clean, hazard-free loading and staging areas. Report equipment malfunctions, maintenance requirements, and safety concerns to supervisors promptly. Maintain accurate inspection logs and operational records as required by company and regulatory standards.
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
General knowledge in the inspection, disassembly, repair, and reassembly of hoist equipment. At least one (1) year of experience in a similar type of role required. Comfortable working at heights greater than 100 feet above ground level. Adaptable to changing priorities in a consistently fast-paced environment. Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. Proficiency in verbal and written English required. Have the ability to work overtime and weekends as required/needed. Ability to maintain an active state issued driver's license.
