Job Description

Landcrafters is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator/Working Foreman to join our crew. We are looking for a motivated individual with a positive attitude who enjoys working outdoors and is looking for a stable career with a reputable coastal Maine landscape/construction company.
An Ideal Candidate Should Have:
Proficiency in operating excavators, bulldozers, skid steers, loaders, rollers, graders, and backhoes. 3-5 years of operator experience in a construction or sitework environment. Prior experience working around overhead/underground utilities and traffic (both on foot and vehicle). Extensive experience in grade work. Ability to read and interpret construction plans, site layouts, and project specifications. Ability to ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including operating machinery for extended periods of time. Ability to work independently and as part of a team A polite, courteous and professional demeanor A clean, valid driver's license for the past 3 years and reliable transportation. Be comfortable working in all weather conditions (rain, snow, heat cold).
Responsibilities:
Perform multiple tasks which include, but not limited to excavating, grading, trenching, site prep and septic installation. Perform daily inspections and basic maintenance on equipment, including greasing, fueling and safety equipment checks. On-going communication with shop mechanics related to equipment repairs. Operate equipment in a safe and productive manner.
Compensation & Benefits:
Pay, based on experience and versatility, between $25-$36 per hour with overtime available.
