Job Description
The Levy Group of Companies is seeking an Operator ( Screed/Screw ) to work at our Saginaw/Fling, MI location. The Operator will operate paving and rolling equipment specifically Screed or Screw. We are a unique, 100-year-old family-owned company that transforms our recycled products into construction materials, lightweight aggregates, asphalt, cement, concrete, agricultural products, and more. We provide steel mill services, flame cutting and treatment, road building, logistics, laboratory testing, and a variety of other solutions for our customers. Benefits Competitive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Prescription, 401(K) with 3% Employer Contribution, Long- and Short-term Disability Tuition Reimbursement for qualified skilled trade programs Student Loan Repayment Program Employee Referral Program Responsibilities The Operator will: Shovel asphalt for patching and or paving crew Performing daily machine inspections and routine greasing, oiling, and fueling Communicating with office and field personnel Inspect grade and elevations correctly Assisting maintenance personnel with repairs Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor Skills The ideal candidate will have: Ability to operate Screed/Screw, grader, roller, or loader Knowledge of materials Basic mechanical aptitude Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to sit, stand or walk for an extended period of time Work outside for an extended period of time Ability to communicate well with co-workers, customers, and other departments Ability to read and write Valid CDL with tanker and hazmat endorsement or ability to obtain one
