Equipment Operator - Sellenriek Construction Sellenriek Construction is hiring experienced Equipment Operators to support underground utility construction crews. We're looking for someone who can safely operate heavy equipment, support utility installation, work around existing utilities, and communicate clearly with foremen, supervisors, and crew members in the field.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday Hours:

10-hour days, with some overtime depending on work, weather, and project needs

Daily Job Duties:

Operate heavy equipment for underground utility construction Operate equipment such as excavators, plows, dozers, trenchers, skid steers, hydro-vacs, or similar construction equipment Perform digging, trenching, grading, and backfilling for utility installation Safely load and unload equipment from trailers Work around existing underground utilities Read and follow utility maps, blueprints, job plans, and markings Hand dig around utilities when needed Communicate clearly with crew members, foremen, and supervisors Complete daily equipment logs and job reports accurately Follow OSHA, DOT, and company safety procedures What we're looking for: Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record preferred At least 1 year of heavy equipment operating experience in utility construction or a related field Experience operating excavators, skid steers, trenchers, plows, dozers, or similar equipment Ability to safely work around underground utilities Ability to perform digging, trenching, grading, and backfilling Ability to read utility maps, blueprints, and job layouts Strong safety awareness and damage prevention mindset Willingness to assist with labor duties when needed Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to pass a background check and drug screening This is a great fit for someone who has equipment operating experience, understands underground utility work, and is looking for a long-term opportunity with Sellenriek Construction.
