Heavy Equipment Operator Location:

Jonesburg, MO 63351 Job Overview Our client is seeking 2 experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to join their team in Jonesburg, MO. The ideal candidates will have experience operating heavy equipment in a scrap yard, recycling, construction, demolition, mining, or similar industrial environment. This role involves operating heavy machinery to move scrap metal, load and unload trucks, feed the shredder, and perform routine equipment maintenance while adhering to all safety regulations. Equipment Operated Experience operating one or more of the following is required: Forklift 490X Excavator with Shear Attachment 980 Wheel Loader Atlas 400 Material Handler Candidates with experience operating multiple machines are highly preferred. Key Responsibilities Safely operate heavy equipment in a scrap metal recycling yard. Load, unload, and transport scrap metal and other materials. Feed materials into the shredder. Perform daily equipment inspections and preventive maintenance. Check fluid levels, grease equipment, and report mechanical issues. Troubleshoot minor equipment problems. Complete maintenance logs and equipment inspection reports. Follow OSHA and company safety procedures. Work closely with supervisors and team members to maintain safe and efficient operations. Qualifications Previous heavy equipment operating experience required. Experience in scrap recycling, demolition, construction, mining, quarry, or heavy industrial environments preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment maintenance. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Strong communication skills and commitment to workplace safety. Must be able to commute to or relocate to Jonesburg, MO before starting work. Schedule Monday•
