Job Description
Hoist Operator Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Hoist Operator for a company based in C olumbus , MS . In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a long-lasting machine and maintenance facility. Pay Rate $2 5.00 to 34.00 per hour Schedule and Hours Monday through Friday, 8 00 am to 5 00 pm. Hoist Operator Duties and Responsibilities
- Controlling levers, pedals, and throttles to control the start, stop and speed of hoist/winch drums .
- Wind and unwind cables, select loads based on weight/size specifications, and ensure heavy components are placed precisely .
- Transport materials to designated locations within the facility, maintaining inventory accuracy and organization.
- Inspect and maintain fuel tanks, lubricate equipment, and apply hand and foot brakes to secure hoists .
- Closely follow safety regulations and guidelines at all times, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and securing loads properly. Hoist Operator Qualifications and Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in commercial construction, warehousing, or manufacturing
- Strong mechanical aptitude, good hand eye coordination, and the physical ability to lift heavy objects and work at elevated heights .
- Ability to understand and follow safety protocols and operating instructions to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Physical strength and stamina to lift and move heavy loads safely and efficiently. Job Type Full-time , temporary Benefits
