Adult Basketball Scorekeeper/Clock Operator

• Seasonal Company City of Billings Location Billings, MT Date Posted 08/08/2026 Description The City of Billings is seeking a seasonal Adult Basketball Scorekeeper/Clock Operator to serve the City of Billings Parks, Recreation and Public Land's sports programs by providing scorekeeping duties during select activities. Pay Rate $14.00
• $16.00 per Hour. Work Schedule Work possible on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, & Sundays (2
• 3 days per week). 630 p.m.
• 1000 p.m. on weekdays and 330 p.m.
• 800 p.m. on Sundays, 2-3 games per night. Season runs early January
• March.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operate timing devices and/or the official scorebook for the designated sport. Exhibit professional behavior before and after sporting events. Perform routine clerical and technical work keeping score sheets and/or time clock. Communicate with managers, players, officials, and fans. Set up, tear down, clean up, and security of facilities. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Skills Must meet minimum age requirements. Must have the ability to quickly evaluate information and make decisions and judgment calls. Must be able to resolve conflicts and stay calm while handling disputes. Must work well with children, adults, coaches, & officials. Must be familiar with the rules and bylaws of the respective sport. Knowledge of basketball rules and bylaws preferred. Professional, confident, and capable of dealing with players, parents, officials, and fans. Reliable transportation to and from games. Equal Opportunity Employer.
