Pay Rate:

$14.00 - $16.00/Hour Work Schedule Work possible on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, & Sundays (2-3 days per week) 6:30pm - 10:00pm on weekdays and 3:30pm - 8:00pm on Sundays, 2-3 games per night. Season runs early January-March Job Summary As a City of Billings Parks, Recreation and Public Lands Scorekeeper, you will serve the department's sports programs by providing scorekeeping duties during select activities. Applicant must be familiar with the rules and bylaws of the respective sport and can operate timing devices and/or the official scorebook for the designated sport. You must have the ability to quickly evaluate information and make decisions and judgement calls. Applicant must be able to resolve conflicts and stay calm while handling disputes. Applicants must work well with children, adults, coaches, & officials. Professional behavior before and after sporting events. Operate scoreboard and/or timing device for designated sport. Perform routine clerical and technical work keeping score sheets and/or time clock. Communicate with managers, players, officials, and fans. Set up, tear down, clean up, and security of facilities. Other duties as assigned. Must be at least 16 years of age. Knowledge of basketball rules and bylaws preferred. Operate timing devices and/or the official scorebook for the designated sport. Professional, confident, and capable of dealing with players, parents, officials, and fans. Reliable transportation to and from games.
