Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Excavator Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating excavators and other heavy equipment to assist in various construction projects. Your expertise will help ensure efficient site development, excavation, and material handling while protecting existing utilities and maintaining safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale infrastructure projects and work with a diverse range of heavy machinery. Duties Operate excavators with precision to perform digging, trenching, lifting, and material placement tasks across construction sites Dig around existing utilities, potholing and protecting them from damage. Safely operate additional heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, and backhoes. Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure optimal performance and report any maintenance needs promptly Assist with site preparation activities including grading, leveling, and excavation for foundations, roads or utilities Collaborate with team members to coordinate the movement of materials and equipment efficiently on-site Follow all safety protocols and construction regulations to maintain a secure working environment Keeping the cabs cleaned and swept out. Maintain the equipment checking fluids and greasing daily. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy construction equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, and backhoes Proven experience operating excavators in a construction setting with a focus on safety and precision Ability to operate multiple types of heavy machinery such as Caterpillar equipment and other reputable brands Truck placement and safe loading of dump trucks. Solid understanding of construction site procedures and safety standards Excellent communication skills to work effectively within a team environment Ability to dig efficiently keeping production goals while still providing a safe work environment. $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
