Overview Join our dynamic construction team as a Heavy Equipment Operator specializing in excavator operation! Responsibilities Operate excavators and other heavy machinery such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, dump trucks, water trucks, and tankers to perform excavation, grading, and site preparation tasks Conduct routine maintenance and safety inspections on construction equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations Assist with construction utility work including utility locating to ensure safe installation of underground utilities Follow federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures at all times to maintain a safe work environment Perform construction site activities such as grading, trenching, backfilling, and site cleanup with precision and efficiency Coordinate with team members to execute project plans accurately while adhering to construction schedules Operate commercial trucks for transporting materials or equipment around the job site or between locations as needed Experience Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery including excavators, dozers, backhoes, loaders, dump trucks, water trucks, and tankers in a construction setting Strong knowledge of construction machinery maintenance and troubleshooting techniques Familiarity with federal construction safety regulations and safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation Prior experience in construction utility work such as utility locating or installation is highly desirable Demonstrated ability to perform excavation tasks with precision while maintaining safety standards Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with experience in commercial truck driving preferred Construction site experience with a focus on grading, utility work, and equipment operation is essential Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to building safely and efficiently!
