Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and experienced Heavy Equipment Operator/Truck Driver to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of construction machinery and commercial trucks to support excavation, grading, paving, utility work, and site development projects. Your expertise will ensure that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites while maintaining a strong focus on safety and equipment reliability. Responsibilities Operate heavy machinery including excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, water trucks, tankers, and dump trucks to perform excavation, grading, paving, and utility installation tasks Drive commercial trucks safely across construction sites and between locations in compliance with federal and state transportation regulations Conduct routine maintenance and safety inspections on all equipment to ensure optimal performance and adherence to safety procedures Assist with construction utility work such as utility locating and horizontal drilling to support project infrastructure needs Follow construction site safety regulations and equipment safety procedures at all times to prevent accidents and injuries Support construction grading activities by operating graders and dozers with precision for accurate site leveling Collaborate with team members to execute project plans efficiently while maintaining a clean and organized work environment Skills Proven experience in heavy equipment operation including excavators, backhoes, dozers, graders, loaders, water trucks, tankers, and dump trucks Strong knowledge of construction machinery maintenance and troubleshooting techniques Skilled in commercial truck driving with a valid CDL license; familiarity with federal transportation safety regulations is essential Ability to perform construction utility work such as utility locating and horizontal drilling accurately Mechanical knowledge for routine equipment repairs and preventative maintenance Experience in construction site activities including excavation, paving, grading, and utility installation Understanding of construction safety regulations and adherence to equipment safety procedures at all times Proficiency in operating Caterpillar (CAT) equipment or similar brands preferred Ability to interpret construction plans and execute tasks accordingly with precision Join us in building the future by supporting vital infrastructure projects!
