Heavy Equipment Operator - Excavator

Job Summary NJR is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating equipment with precision and safety. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, dozers, backhoes, skid steer, grading, trenching, and material handling tasks. Conduct pre-operation inspections of equipment to ensure safety and optimal performance. Follow project plans and specifications accurately while maintaining high safety standards on-site. Collaborate with team members to coordinate the movement of materials and equipment efficiently across the site. Perform routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime. Adhere to all safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and construction site procedures. Requirements Proven experience operating heavy equipment in a construction environment Experience working on construction sites with familiarity in excavation and grading Ability to operate additional machinery such as loaders, backhoes, and skid steer Strong knowledge of safety standards related to heavy equipment use and construction activities.
