In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of construction machinery and heavy equipment to facilitate building projects efficiently and safely. Your expertise will help ensure that construction activities proceed smoothly, adhering to safety standards and project timelines. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing your mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills to contribute to successful construction outcomes. Duties Operate a wide range of construction equipment including bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, and farm machinery with precision and safety. Perform routine maintenance and inspections on machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Handle materials effectively using material handling equipment such as forklifts and front loader trucks, ensuring proper loading, unloading, and transportation on-site. Follow all equipment safety procedures and occupational safety regulations to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and team members. Assist in site preparation activities by grading, excavating, lifting, and moving materials as directed by project supervisors. Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, maintenance schedules, and safety checks in accordance with company policies. Collaborate with team members to coordinate the safe operation of heavy machinery while adhering to project timelines. Qualifications Proven experience operating construction machinery such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes (including crane operation), and other heavy equipment on construction sites. Valid commercial driver's license with experience in commercial truck driving including dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, or similar vehicles. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic maintenance and troubleshoot hydraulics and other mechanical systems. Familiarity with hand tools and construction site safety procedures is essential. Knowledge of occupational safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and construction sites. Experience working with concrete mixers and farm machinery is a plus. Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining a focus on safety standards.
