Bulldozer Operator Havelock, North Carolina $21.00 - $30.00 Bulldozer Operator Job Summary The Bulldozer Operator is responsible for operating heavy construction equipment, specifically bulldozers, to move earth, debris, and other materials at construction, mining, and infrastructure sites. The position ensures safe and efficient operation in compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Responsibilities Operate bulldozers to push, excavate, and grade materials according to project specifications. Inspect and maintain equipment before and after operation to ensure proper function and safety. Monitor progress and adjust machine controls for accurate work. Follow safety procedures, wear protective gear, and report hazards. Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding job progress and challenges. Assist with site preparation, leveling, and material handling as directed. Follow all environmental standards and regulations during operation. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 1 year of experience operating heavy machinery, preferably bulldozers. Valid equipment operator license or certification, if required by local regulations. Ability to read and interpret construction plans and instructions. Physical ability to perform duties, including lifting, standing, and working outdoors in various conditions. Preferred Qualifications Formal training in heavy equipment operation. Experience in road construction, mining, or large-scale infrastructure projects. Knowledge of maintenance and minor repair for construction equipment. Familiarity with GPS or grade control systems.
