Haul Truck/Roller Operator

Universal Civil Construction (UCC ) is a civil sitework company in South Carolina specializing in both private and public work. The company self performs earthwork and pipe installation, and has an immediate need for heavy equipment operators in Salisbury, NC. We are seeking motivated and dependable individuals to build our core operator group. We offer competitive wages along with health insurance and paid time off. Job Summary Heavy Equipment Operator - Haul-Truck and/or Vibratory Roller Typical Duties Follow safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work environment Performing maintenance checks, equipment inspection, daily track cleaning, fueling and greasing Be familiar with excavation plans and machine limitations and follow OSHA safe digging procedures Observe verbal communication, hand signals, grade stakes, grade control devices Be efficient at hauling material via articulated haul truck and compacting placed soil via vibratory roller, while maintaining focus on safety. Perform manual labor as needed Complete all duties as directed by supervisors Skill, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience Must have experience operating heavy equipment Able to maintain control of machine while watching the gauges and surrounding work area including people on the ground Knowledge of materials, methods and the tools involved with civil construction Physical ability to walk on uneven surfaces and climb on equipment to inspect and to get to operator's seat Must be able to read and follow all policies and procedures at UCC Requirements Be at least 18 years old Able to pass a Drug test Legally eligible to work in the United States Have a valid driver's license Must have own reliable transportation to and from job site Benefit Package Competitive wages base on experience Guaranteed Hours Regardless of Weather Comprehensive Health Plans Paid time off 401K plan after 1 year of service All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, national origin, disability, veteran status, and or other legally protected status.
