Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our construction team. In this vital role, you will operate a variety of heavy machinery to support construction projects, ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality work. Your expertise will help move materials, prepare sites, and facilitate the smooth progression of construction activities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale projects while maintaining a strong focus on safety and operational excellence. Responsibilities Operate construction machinery such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, cranes, and dump trucks to perform earthmoving, material handling, and site preparation tasks. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Follow all safety procedures and occupational safety regulations while operating heavy machinery and handling materials. Assist with the setup and breakdown of construction sites, including positioning equipment and preparing work zones. Load and unload materials using appropriate material handling equipment like front loaders, water trucks, or roll-off trucks. Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks efficiently and adhere to project timelines. Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and safety checks in accordance with company policies. Skills Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as dozers, loaders, excavators, cranes (including crane operation), backhoes, and water trucks. Strong knowledge of hydraulics, mechanical systems, and construction machinery maintenance. Ability to interpret technical manuals and perform routine repairs using hand tools. Familiarity with construction site safety procedures and occupational safety regulations. Valid commercial driver's license with experience in commercial truck driving for vehicles like dump trucks or front loader trucks. Knowledge of concrete mixers and farm machinery is a plus for versatile site support roles. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work safely in a team environment while adhering to PPE use standards. Join us in building something great!
