Skills and Experience:
Must possess a valid CDL with a clean driving record. Strong heavy equipment knowledge and experience required, including operation and transport of equipment such as dump trucks, hook trucks, and related construction equipment. Understanding of heavy equipment loading, securement, transportation, and safe jobsite practices is essential. Ability to safely load, tie down, transport, and unload heavy equipment, materials, and supplies. Ability to follow oral and written instructions and complete assigned tasks efficiently. Works well with others in a team-oriented environment. Familiar with local Omaha and Iowa routes and able to safely navigate using GPS when needed. Versatile and flexible with job duties; willing to assist in the shop or on job sites between deliveries. Ability to frequently lift, push, or pull 50-75 lbs. Must be dependable and reliable in attendance and work performance. Committed to following all safety procedures both on the road and while loading/unloading trucks and equipment. Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with dispatchers, drivers, field personnel, and team members. Must have reliable transportation and be able to pass a drug/alcohol screening. Previous CDL driving experience required, including experience operating delivery trucks and commercial vehicles. Position Summary:
The Delivery Driver will primarily be responsible for transporting heavy equipment, rock, and construction materials to and from job sites, supply yards, and company facilities. This position requires strong heavy equipment knowledge, safe equipment handling practices, and the ability to support field operations as needed. During slower delivery periods, the driver will assist with general labor duties in the shop or on job sites. Schedule:
Typical work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with occasional evening or Saturday hours depending on workload and project demands. Eyman Plumbing Offers You:
