Position Overview:

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Pot Carrier to join our team at our location in Norfolk, NE. As a Pot Carrier, you will be responsible for safely transporting molten metal from the furnace to the casting area, ensuring the continuous flow of production. This position plays a critical role in maintaining production schedules and ensuring a safe work environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.

Pay:

$20.00 - $25.00 depending on experience

Nights Key Responsibilities:

Operate pot carrier equipment to safely transport molten metal from furnaces to various areas of the steel mill. Ensure proper handling and monitoring of pots to prevent spills or accidents. Work closely with the production team to ensure smooth and efficient transportation and delivery of molten metal to the casting and processing areas. Monitor equipment for any malfunctions, report issues immediately, and work with maintenance staff to ensure equipment is in optimal working condition. Follow strict safety procedures and guidelines to prevent injuries and ensure compliance with company safety protocols. Maintain clean and organized work areas to promote a safe and efficient environment. Assist with other duties in operations as needed.

Qualifications:

Previous experience working in a steel mill, industrial manufacturing, or similar environment is a plus. Basic knowledge of heavy equipment operation is preferred. Ability to work in high-temperature, noisy, and physically demanding environments. Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all safety standards and protocols. Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team. Ability to lift heavy objects and handle equipment safely. High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience operating pot carrier equipment or similar machinery. Previous training in safety procedures or certifications in OSHA or other safety programs is a plus.
