Job Description

Job Summary:
The Equipment Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating heavy equipment to support road, site, and highway construction projects. This role contributes directly to project quality, productivity, and safety by ensuring equipment is used effectively, maintained properly, and aligned with project specifications and timelines.
Essential Functions:
Focused. Operate a variety of heavy equipment (e.g., pavers, shuttle buggies, rollers, graders, rubber tire excavators) to deliver high-quality work execution that meets project specifications, productivity targets, and quality standards. Committed to serve. Assist with general labor tasks, site preparation, and other duties to support project progress and overall team productivity while helping keep work on schedule. Protect family and friends. Consistently follow all safety protocols, wear required PPE, and proactively identify and report hazards, incidents, or equipment concerns to ensure a safe work environment and support a zero-incident culture. Safety always wins. Adhere to job site plans, training, and standard operating procedures to execute work in alignment with established procedures and maintain consistency and compliance. Results matter. Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and cleaning to maintain equipment reliability and performance, and promptly report repair needs to minimize downtime. Respect and engage. Communicate proactively with team members and supervisors, both in person and via radio, to enable clear and effective communication and coordination of work.
