Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Class A CDL - Hydrovac Operator and become a vital part of innovative construction and excavation projects. In this role, you will operate specialized hydrovac equipment to safely and efficiently excavate around utilities, pipelines, and other underground infrastructure. Your expertise will help ensure project accuracy, safety, and timely completion while supporting a variety of heavy equipment operations on construction sites. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and contribute to large-scale infrastructure development. Responsibilities Operate Class A commercial motor vehicles, including dump trucks, water trucks, and other heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and horizontal drilling rigs. Skillfully operate hydrovac units to perform precise excavation tasks around sensitive underground utilities and infrastructure. Conduct pre-trip inspections on all vehicles and equipment to ensure safety standards are met before each shift. Assist with the setup and breakdown of construction sites by managing excavation and backfilling activities using heavy machinery like Caterpillar equipment. Maintain accurate logs of work performed, including detailed records of excavations, equipment usage, and safety checks. Follow all safety protocols and construction site regulations to promote a secure working environment for yourself and team members. Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and other crew members to coordinate operations effectively. Skills Mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, horizontal drilling rigs, tankers, and paving machinery. Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid Class A CDL license. Strong understanding of construction site operations and safety procedures. Ability to operate specialized equipment like Caterpillar machinery confidently and efficiently. Knowledge of excavation techniques around utilities and underground infrastructure using hydrovac technology. Experience with heavy equipment operation including dump trucks, water trucks, graders, dozers, loaders, backhoes, and horizontal drills. Familiarity with construction materials and processes related to paving projects.
