Job Description
Overview We are seeking a proactive and vigilant Equipment Spotter to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of heavy machinery and equipment across various operational sites. Your keen eye and attention to detail will help prevent accidents, facilitate smooth operations, and uphold safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of heavy equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing or construction environment, contributing directly to the success of our projects. Duties Assist in the safe operation and movement of heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, forklifts, front loader trucks, roll-off trucks, garbage trucks, and sanitation vehicles. Act as a spotter during loader operation and other heavy machinery movements to prevent collisions or accidents. Guide operators by providing clear signals and directions to ensure precise placement of equipment and materials. Conduct visual inspections of equipment before use to identify potential safety issues or maintenance needs. Maintain communication with machine operators and site personnel to coordinate movements efficiently. Support cleaning and sanitation efforts by safely handling waste collection equipment and ensuring work areas are clear of hazards. Assist with general site safety by monitoring surroundings during equipment operation and reporting any unsafe conditions immediately. Requirements Proven experience in heavy equipment operation or related roles within manufacturing, construction, or sanitation sectors. Familiarity with operating loaders, excavators, forklifts, front loader trucks, roll-off trucks, garbage trucks, and sanitation vehicles. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively throughout the shift. Strong understanding of safety protocols related to heavy machinery and site operations. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with operators and team members. Attention to detail when inspecting equipment and maintaining safety standards.
