Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic construction team as a Hydrovac Swamper, where you'll play a vital role in supporting safe and efficient excavation operations. As a key team member, you will assist with hydrovac truck operations, ensuring that excavation tasks are completed accurately and safely. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help us maintain high standards on construction sites, contributing to successful project outcomes and a positive work environment. Duties Assist the hydrovac operator by providing support during excavation tasks, including positioning hoses and equipment. Maintain clear communication with the operator to ensure safe and efficient operation of the hydrovac truck. Help identify underground utilities and hazards to prevent accidents during excavation. Support the setup and breakdown of work zones, including traffic control and site safety measures. Perform routine inspections of equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to uphold a safe working environment for everyone on site. Assist with loading and unloading materials using heavy equipment such as loaders, dozers, or dump trucks when needed. Requirements Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with heavy equipment operation. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) or ability to obtain one preferred. Experience operating excavators, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, or similar construction machinery is highly desirable. Construction site experience demonstrating knowledge of safety standards and procedures. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and physically demanding environments. Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude toward teamwork. Knowledge of construction equipment brands such as Caterpillar or similar heavy machinery is a plus.
