In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring efficient site operations, safety, and precision in handling equipment such as excavators, loaders, bulldozers, and cranes. Your expertise will help transform blueprints into reality while maintaining a safe and productive work environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your mechanical skills and contribute to impactful infrastructure development. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment including excavators, bulldozers (dozers), loaders, backhoes, cranes, and other machinery with precision and safety awareness. Manage various types of trucks such as front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, and tanker trucks to transport materials across the construction site. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on equipment like Caterpillar machinery and farm-related machinery to ensure optimal performance. Assist with site preparation tasks such as grading, trenching, lifting heavy materials, and moving construction supplies efficiently. Follow all safety protocols and construction site regulations to prevent accidents and promote a secure working environment. Collaborate with team members to coordinate equipment use for different phases of the project, including concrete mixing operations when necessary. Maintain detailed logs of equipment usage, inspections, and maintenance activities for accountability and compliance. Qualifications Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment on active sites; familiarity with excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, cranes, and other machinery is essential. Mechanical knowledge to perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance on equipment like Caterpillar machines or farm machinery. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with experience driving trucks such as dump trucks, water trucks, or tanker trucks preferred. Hands-on experience with construction site operations including concrete mixers and various types of heavy machinery. Strong understanding of safety standards related to heavy equipment operation in construction environments. Ability to read blueprints or technical diagrams is a plus but not mandatory.
