Job Description

Job Summary:
The Sand & Gravel Department is seeking an experienced and safety-focused Front-End Loader Operator to support upcoming solar projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a Caterpillar 980M loader while performing aggregate loading and material-handling activities.
Duties:
Safely and efficiently operate a Caterpillar 980M front-end loader. Load haul trucks safely and efficiently while maintaining awareness of surrounding equipment, employees, and traffic. Move and manage aggregate stockpiles as directed. Maintain a clean and safe loading area by minimizing and removing spills, rocks, and other debris. Demonstrate familiarity with and the ability to properly use the loader's onboard bucket scale system. Perform daily equipment inspections and report any safety or mechanical concerns. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and site-specific requirements. Work effectively in a high-volume aggregate and construction environment
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required Previous front-end loader operating experience required. Ability to safely operate heavy equipment in an active work environment. Strong understanding of safe equipment operation and job-site awareness. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Must be willing and able to work overtime, including weekends, when required. Must be willing to work overtime, including weekends, when required. Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions and comply with all applicable safety requirements. Valid Nevada driver's license with an insurable driving record; Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred. Must be able to pass any and all drug screenings that may come up
