Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and skilled Tow Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting vehicles, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring efficient operations. This role requires a strong knowledge of automotive systems, mechanical skills, and the ability to handle various towing equipment, including flatbeds. The Tow Truck Driver plays a vital role in assisting customers with vehicle recoveries and roadside assistance, maintaining professionalism and safety at all times. Responsibilities Operate tow trucks, including flatbeds and other specialized equipment, to recover and transport vehicles safely. Load and unload vehicles using appropriate tools and techniques, ensuring minimal damage. Provide exceptional customer service by assisting clients professionally during stressful situations. Conduct basic automotive diagnostics and mechanical assessments to determine the best towing approach. Maintain the cleanliness and routine maintenance of the tow truck to ensure optimal performance. Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws during vehicle recovery and transport operations. Manage conflict situations effectively, demonstrating conflict management skills when dealing with distressed customers or challenging scenarios. Assist with related tasks such as forklift operation or other mechanical duties as needed. Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Towing endorsement Experience operating tow trucks, especially flatbed models, is highly preferred. Mechanical knowledge and automotive repair experience are advantageous. Familiarity with manual transmissions and automotive diagnostics. Ability to load & unload vehicles efficiently while adhering to safety standards. Strong customer service skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Prior experience with conflict management in customer-facing roles is a plus. Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual tasks related to vehicle recovery. Basic understanding of forklift operation is desirable but not mandatory.
