An Operating Engineer or Heavy Equipment Operator drives and operates heavy equipment used in quarries, construction sites, landfills, refuse and recycling centers, or ports. Heavy Equipment may include, but is not limited to, bulldozers, excavators, paving equipment and pile drivers.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate various construction machinery including bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, water trucks, dump trucks, tanker trucks, and other heavy equipment to facilitate construction activities. Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment such as concrete mixers, hydraulic systems, and farm machinery to ensure optimal operation and safety standards are met. Handle materials efficiently using material handling equipment like roll-off trucks and front loader trucks, adhering strictly to safety procedures. Follow all occupational safety regulations and use personal protective equipment (PPE) consistently during operations. Conduct safety checks on equipment before use, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and operational guidelines. Assist in site preparation activities by operating heavy machinery such as dozers, loaders, and excavators to clear land or move materials. Maintain detailed logs of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and safety inspections to support operational transparency and accountability.
REQUIREMENTS
Proven experience operating construction site machinery including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, water trucks, dump trucks, tanker trucks, and similar equipment. Valid commercial driver's license with experience in commercial truck driving. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic maintenance. Familiarity with hand tools and construction equipment safety procedures is essential.
