Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a HydroVac Truck Operator and become a vital part of infrastructure maintenance and construction projects! In this energetic role, you will operate specialized HydroVac trucks equipped with high-pressure water and vacuum systems to perform excavation, utility locating, and site cleanup tasks. Your expertise will help ensure safe, efficient, and precise utility work on construction sites, adhering to all safety regulations and operational standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with heavy equipment in a fast-paced environment while contributing to critical infrastructure development. Duties Operate HydroVac trucks safely and efficiently during excavation, utility locating, and site cleanup operations. Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of construction machinery, including loaders, excavators, backhoes, and Caterpillar equipment. Perform construction utility work such as trenching, grading, and excavation following project specifications. Utilize construction site experience to assist with equipment setup, operation, and troubleshooting in compliance with federal safety regulations. Follow all equipment safety procedures and safety regulations to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and team members. Coordinate with project managers and other crew members to execute construction tasks accurately and on schedule. Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and safety checks to ensure ongoing compliance. Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving and heavy equipment operation within construction or utility environments. Strong mechanical knowledge for maintenance and troubleshooting of HydroVac units, excavators, loaders, backhoes, and Caterpillar machinery. Skilled in utility locating techniques using modern tools to identify underground utilities before excavation. Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures essential for safe operations on-site. Ability to operate construction grading equipment with precision to meet project specifications. Construction site experience with familiarity in excavation processes, utility work, and general construction practices. Excellent understanding of heavy equipment operation including backhoe operation, excavator handling, and loader management.
