Responsibilities Operate roller machines and paving equipment to achieve optimal compaction and surface smoothness on asphalt, concrete, and other materials. Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of construction machinery, including concrete mixers, loaders, and paving equipment, ensuring all tools are in excellent working condition. Follow safety protocols diligently, adhering to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and site-specific safety procedures to maintain a secure work environment. Assist with the setup of paving operations by preparing surfaces, managing screeds, and coordinating with team members on project specifications. Operate commercial trucks and loaders to transport materials such as bituminous materials and concrete to various project sites. Maintain detailed records of equipment maintenance, material usage, and project progress while working efficiently on civil infrastructure projects. Qualifications Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as rollers, loaders, concrete mixers, and paving equipment. Mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic repairs and routine maintenance on construction equipment. Familiarity with asphalt paving, concrete work, screeds, and concrete pumping techniques. Strong understanding of safety regulations including DOT standards and safety protocol adherence on construction sites. Ability to perform basic math calculations related to measurements, material quantities, and project specifications. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) or equivalent for operating commercial vehicles safely across job sites.
