SUMMARY The equipment operator/utility is responsible for the operation of the equipment and other duties outside of equipment operations as directed by supervision and in accordance with the recommended practices relating to safety, maintenance and production. The equipment operator is responsible for following accepted safe operating practices in all areas of production, maintenance, inspections, and housekeeping. He inspects, cleans and performs repairs as needed or skill allows, observes operation of equipment to detect malfunction and informs supervisor when malfunction occurs. Operator is responsible for the safe operation of equipment and will be familiar with recommended operating procedures, operating limits and recommended practices and expectations for safety, maintenance, production, housekeeping, and repair on both equipment and fixed plants. The individual filling this role would be expected to "float" or travel or as needed between 4 different plant locations and operate equipment. For reference, they will be traveling to our northern plants in (Fredericktown, OH, St. Louisville, OH, Upper Sandusky, OH, and Wooster, OH). The ideal candidate will be local to the central point of these locations. This is a non-union opportunity.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure all safety guidelines are followed. Operating the equipment within the general operating and production guidelines for the machine. The operator is responsible for pre-shift inspections, fueling, and greasing of his equipment. Operation of a Front-end Loader and Skid-steer Loader The general appearance and housekeeping of his equipment. Operate within the general mine plan. Report all maintenance issues to the maintenance manager. Report directly to Plant Manager with all trucking or truck issues. Communicate with the scale house needs or wishes involving trucking issues. Other duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

This position does not require a CDL. Non-CDL are encouraged to apply. Physical / functional requirements as indicated for this position. Ability to travel to and from multiple sites. Ability to read and comprehend instruction manuals, safety information, hazard labels, etc. Have corrected eyesight, color vision, depth perception, hearing and balance acceptable for safe operation of mobile equipment and awareness near fixed plant operations. Have adequate or corrected hearing acceptable for the safe operation of mobile equipment and awareness near fixed plant operations. Free of the influence of drugs or controlled substances that can affect judgment or coordination. Knowledge of all related safety guidelines and procedures. General mechanical skills.
