We are looking for an experienced Roller Operator to join our Paving Crew. The Roller Operator is responsible for safely operating asphalt compaction equipment to achieve proper density, smoothness, and quality on commercial, municipal, and roadway paving projects. This position works closely with the paving foreman, paver operator, and crew members to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently, meeting company quality standards. Job Responsibilities Ability to operate various pieces of compaction equipment in the process of Breakdown & / or Finish Rolling process of asphalt paving Perform general maintenance and inspection on the equipment Assist crew members in the completion of work where required Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, customers & public Strict adherence to safety requirements & procedures Qualifications Clean driving record (CDL preferred) Ideal candidate will have 5 or more years of experience operating asphalt compaction equipment & heavy equipment Willing to work occasional weekends and unexpected longer hours when necessary Candidates will be compensated based on experience and capabilities. •$500 sign-on bonus after 30 days of hire•Byrne & Jones is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer & committed to maintaining a drug-free workplace.
