Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a variety of heavy machinery such as dozers, loaders, excavators within the limestone quarry. No experience required, but it is recommended. Training will be provided. You must be reliable, punctual, and have reliable transportation. You must pass a pre-employment drug screen and you must comply with MSHA laws. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and other machinery within the quarry Conduct routine inspections of equipment prior to use; perform basic maintenance and report any mechanical issues promptly. Follow all safety protocols and site regulations to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and team members. Collaborate with quarry foreman, site supervisors, and other tradespeople to ensure timely completion of tasks. Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage, inspections, and operational hours for record-keeping purposes. Qualifications Preferred experience operating heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and similar machinery, but it is not required, as training will be provided. Mechanical knowledge related to the maintenance and troubleshooting of heavy equipment is preferred, but not required. Valid driver's license Pass a pre-employment drug test.
