Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated UST Installer Licensed Excavator / Dozer Operator to join our dynamic construction team. This role is vital in executing underground storage tank (UST) installation projects, ensuring safety, precision, and efficiency on every site. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in heavy equipment operation, construction utility work, and adherence to federal safety regulations. Duties Operate excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, and other heavy machinery to perform excavation, grading, and site preparation tasks with precision. Conduct routine maintenance and safety inspections on construction machinery to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety procedures. Execute construction utility work including utility locating, trenching, and installation of underground systems following all federal construction safety regulations. Assist with horizontal drilling and paving operations to support infrastructure development projects. Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, equipment usage, and safety checks; report any issues or hazards immediately. Follow all safety regulations and equipment safety procedures diligently to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and team members. Collaborate with project managers and team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to construction standards and quality expectations. Skills Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, backhoes, water trucks, dump trucks, and Caterpillar equipment. Strong mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime. Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations and strict adherence to safety protocols on job sites. Skilled in construction grading, excavation, utility locating, horizontal drilling, paving, and site preparation techniques. Ability to perform construction utility work with precision while following all safety guidelines. Valid Ohio UST Installer License combined with a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) for safe operation of commercial trucks and equipment transport. Excellent understanding of construction site operations including water management (water trucks), tanker handling, and grading procedures. Experience in construction site experience including backhoe operation and general utility installation projects.
