Job Description

HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR
Skid Steer | Dozer | Excavator | CDL Required Barrett Land Services is looking for an experienced, dependable Heavy Equipment Operator to join our growing land services operation in the Oklahoma City area. This position is for someone who can do more than simply run a machine. We are looking for an operator who understands dirt work, land clearing, equipment care, and how to complete a job efficiently while producing a quality finished product.
What You'll Do:
Operate skid steers, dozers, and excavators Perform dirt work, grading, excavation, and site preparation Build and prepare house pads and building pads Clear trees, brush, and vegetation Perform forestry mulching and land-clearing work as needed Construct and repair gravel driveways Load trucks and move material Assist with drainage, pond, and general excavation projects Haul equipment and materials using company trucks and trailers Complete daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance Keep equipment, trucks, trailers, and jobsites clean and organized Work independently while maintaining BLS quality and safety standards
Requirements:
Valid CDL required Proven heavy-equipment operating experience Experience operating skid steer, dozer, and excavator Ability to grade and perform dirt work — not just clearing experience Comfortable loading, unloading, and securing heavy equipment Able to safely haul equipment with truck and gooseneck/equipment trailer Strong mechanical awareness and ability to identify equipment issues Reliable transportation and dependable attendance Able to work outdoors in Oklahoma weather and changing jobsite conditions Able to work independently and take responsibility for assigned work Strong attention to detail and respect for customer property
What We're Looking For:
We want someone who takes pride in their work and takes care of equipment like it's their own . The right person understands that a good operator isn't measured only by how quickly they move dirt. They know how to read a jobsite, minimize unnecessary machine time, protect equipment, communicate problems, and leave behind a finished product they're proud to put their name on. Experience with residential and rural dirt work, land clearing, forestry mulching, pad construction, drainage, and gravel work is especially valuable.

Full-Time Heavy Equipment Operator Oklahoma City Metro / Central Oklahoma
CDL REQUIRED
Compensation based on experience and demonstrated operating ability.

Our work includes dirt work and pad sites, land clearing, forestry mulching, gravel driveways, excavation, and property improvement projects. We're growing and looking for an experienced operator who wants to become a long-term part of the company.
Pay:
$25.00 - $32.00 per hour
