AT HDD Operator

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic AT HDD (Horizontal Directional Drilling) Operator to join our dynamic construction team. Responsibilities Operate horizontal directional drilling equipment with precision, ensuring accurate alignment and depth control for underground utility installations. Manage and operate a variety of heavy machinery including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, and Caterpillar equipment to support construction activities. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on all machinery to guarantee optimal performance and safety standards. Assist in site preparation activities such as grading, excavation, and material handling using heavy equipment like loaders and graders. Collaborate with project managers and team members to plan drilling paths, troubleshoot technical issues, and adapt operations as needed for project requirements. Follow all safety protocols and construction site regulations to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and colleagues. Document operational activities, equipment usage logs, and safety checks accurately throughout each shift. Experience Proven experience operating horizontal directional drilling machinery in a construction or utility installation setting. Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, and tankers. Demonstrated ability to work safely on construction sites with a focus on safety procedures and hazard awareness. Prior experience with construction projects involving paving, horizontal drilling techniques, or underground utility installation is highly desirable. Valid commercial driver's license with experience driving heavy equipment such as dump trucks or water trucks is preferred. Knowledge of Caterpillar machinery operation and maintenance is a plus. Familiarity with construction site protocols including site layout, safety standards, and environmental considerations.
