(Department of Transportation) regulations Loader operation GPS devices Skid steer loader Crane Lowboy Construction hauling Time management Cargo securement protocols Full Job Description Job Summary The CDL Class A Heavy Equipment Hauler is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of heavy construction equipment, machinery, and oversized loads to and from job/company sites. This position requires knowledge of federal and state transportation regulations, proper load securement techniques, and the ability to operate a variety of heavy equipment for loading and unloading. Key Responsibilities Safely transport heavy equipment, construction machinery, and oversized loads using lowboy, or specialized trailers like RGN/goosenecks up to 11 axles Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and daily vehicle inspections to ensure equipment is in safe operating condition. Load and unload heavy equipment using proper operating procedures and secure all loads in compliance with DOT regulations Maintain accurate driver logs, inspection reports, and shipping documentation No need to plan travel routes while considering height and weight if a permit is needed, we got you covered Communicate with dispatch, project managers, and customers regarding delivery schedules and job site conditions Perform routine maintenance checks and report mechanical issues promptly Adhere to all company safety policies, OSHA standards, and DOT regulations Qualifications Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record Minimum of 5 years of experience hauling heavy equipment (required) Knowledge of DOT regulations, load securement, and oversize/overweight transportation requirements.
