Job Description

Overview Easton Auto Body is seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Wrecker Operator with a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)! In this critical role, you'll be the backbone of our Heavy and medium vehicle recovery operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and top-tier customer service. Your mechanical expertise and driving skills will keep traffic moving smoothly and help motorists in their time of need. Responsibilities Operate heavy-duty and medium tow truck wrecker equipment to recover, load, and transport disabled or damaged vehicles safely and efficiently Use automotive knowledge to assess vehicle conditions and determine appropriate recovery methods Load and unload vehicles with precision, ensuring secure transportation using appropriate tie-downs and safety protocols Conduct automotive repairs or minor mechanical adjustments as needed to facilitate vehicle recovery or transport Maintain clear communication with dispatch, customers, and emergency responders during recovery operations Manage conflict situations professionally when dealing with distressed motorists or challenging scenarios Perform routine inspections of tow truck equipment, including forklifts if applicable, to ensure operational readiness Experience Proven experience operating tow trucks, flatbeds, or wreckers in a commercial setting with a strong understanding of heavy-duty vehicle mechanics Automotive knowledge of diagnostics and manual transmissions preferred Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record; experience with flatbed towing is highly desirable Familiarity with automotive tools such as forklifts or other lifting equipment is a plus Strong customer service skills to assist motorists courteously during stressful situations Ability to load and unload vehicles efficiently while adhering to safety standards Prior conflict management experience to handle difficult interactions professionally This important role offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled driver eager to make an impact on roadside recovery safely. Pay:
$75,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
