Overview Join our dynamic team as a Light Duty Tow Truck Driver and become a vital part of providing exceptional roadside assistance and vehicle recovery services. In this energetic role, you'll operate specialized tow trucks to safely transport vehicles, assist stranded motorists, and ensure efficient vehicle recovery. Your mechanical aptitude, customer service skills, and commitment to safety will drive your success in this fast-paced environment. We're looking for motivated individuals eager to deliver reliable service while maintaining the highest safety standards. Responsibilities Safely operate light-duty tow trucks, including flatbed and other specialized vehicles, to tow and recover vehicles from various locations. Securely load and unload vehicles onto the tow truck following cargo securement protocols to prevent damage during transit. Perform basic mechanical troubleshooting and minor repairs on vehicles when necessary to facilitate towing or roadside assistance. Assist customers with vehicle issues by providing excellent customer service, clear communication, and professional support during stressful situations. Follow all safety procedures related to vehicle loading, cargo securement, and operation of tow truck equipment such as forklifts or manual tools. Conduct routine inspections of tow trucks and equipment to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety regulations. Maintain accurate logs of all towing activities, vehicle details, and incident reports for record keeping and accountability. Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience in commercial truck driving preferred. Proven experience with automotive diagnostics, minor mechanical repairs, and basic vehicle troubleshooting. Knowledge of cargo securement protocols and safe vehicle loading techniques for tow trucks. Strong customer service skills with the ability to manage conflict effectively in high-pressure situations. Mechanical knowledge related to automotive repair, vehicle mechanics for truck drivers, and the operation of flatbed tow trucks. Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently and safely over various terrains. Familiarity with vehicle recovery towing procedures using tow trucks or flatbeds; experience with vehicle mechanics for truck drivers is a plus.
