Job Description

Noble Environmental is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Heavy Equipment Operator to join our landfill operations team. This position is responsible for operating heavy machinery to support daily landfill activities while maintaining compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate heavy equipment such as compactors, bulldozers, excavators, and loaders in a safe and efficient manner Perform waste placement, compaction, grading, and daily cover application Inspect equipment before and after use; report maintenance or repair needs Follow all site safety procedures and environmental guidelines Assist with site maintenance, including road upkeep and drainage control Work closely with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations Maintain accurate records of equipment use and daily activities
Qualifications:
Previous experience operating heavy equipment (preferably in landfill, construction, or similar environments) Ability to work in outdoor conditions and varying weather Strong understanding of safety practices and procedures Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team Valid driver's license required (CDL preferred but not required)
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit for extended periods while operating machinery Capable of lifting between 50-75 lbs when needed Comfortable working on uneven terrain and in dusty environments
