Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Equipment Operator to join our Johnstown gas line crew. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of heavy machinery and will be responsible for ensuring efficient and safe operations on construction sites. This position is a crucial part of the crew and we need someone with both hard work ethic and intelligence. Please note that W.A. Petrakis Contracting maintains a "drug free": workplace and has a zero tolerance drug policy. Duties Operate heavy equipment including excavator, skid loaders, and wheel loaders to perform tasks such as digging, building, and transporting materials. Familiarity with ditch protection and ditch safety Ability to saw-cut the road with a skid loader Crisis management skills Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a secure work environment. Assist in the setup and teardown of construction sites as needed. General Construction Labor duties Install gas pipe fittings, cut pipe, basic plumbing skills Proficiency in handling 2"-6" trash pumps in critical situations. Ability to dig mainline gas line Ability to do gas line services Qualifications 3 or more years of experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly excavators, backhoes, and skid loaders. Problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to safely lift a minimum of 50 lbs. Valid PA driver's license and reliable transportation. W.A.
