Daily Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently on active construction sites. Run asphalt rollers, pavers, milling machines, backhoes, skid steers, compactors, and other construction equipment. Perform grading, excavation, trenching, site preparation, and paving activities. Support road construction, asphalt paving, parking lot installations, and municipal infrastructure projects. Read grades, stakes, site plans, and construction drawings to ensure accurate work. Complete daily equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns. Perform minor equipment maintenance to maximize uptime and productivity. Work closely with project managers, foremen, truck drivers, and field crews to keep projects on schedule. Follow PennDOT specifications, OSHA regulations, and company safety standards. Assist crews with additional site responsibilities when needed. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications 2+ years of heavy equipment operating experience. Experience in asphalt paving, road construction, excavation, grading, or site development. Ability to safely operate multiple pieces of construction equipment. Experience reading site grades, stakes, and construction drawings. Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship. Reliable transportation to projects primarily located east of Pittsburgh. Ability to work overtime and occasional Saturdays during peak season.
