Job Summary:
This position is a field based role and will travel daily to job sites mostly in Pennsylvania. Responsibilities Operates various equipment including backhoes, excavators, dozers, plows, trenchers and or directional bore machines for the installation or maintenance of underground utilities, and other duties as directed by foreman. Operators are expected to embrace H&M's safety culture including safe operation of equipment, appropriate PPE and participating in daily and weekly safety talks. Operators will be directed in placing or maintaining underground utilities. This could include but not limited to digging around existing utilities, placing conduit, placing handholes, placing manholes, backfilling & compacting. Operators will be responsible for daily maintenance of equipment such as and maintaining fluids, greasing equipment as required and other routine maintenance as necessary. Operators are required to be familiar with OSHA Regulations regarding trench safety. Qualifications Minimum of two years experience with construction, excavation, and related heavy equipment operation preferred. Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator license with a CDL A license preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent.
