Heavy Equipment Operator Data Labeling Actor Labs Mountain View, CA Job Details Part-time | Contract $23.00 - $31.66 an hour 1 hour ago Qualifications AI models OSHA 10 Loader operation Model training Skid steer loader AI Full Job Description Heavy Equipment Data Labeler Contract | Hybrid | Construction Robotics About the Role We're building autonomous construction equipment and need operators with real-world heavy equipment experience to review and label machine operation data. You know how these machines move — we need that expertise to train our AI systems. What You'll Do Review sensor, video, and telemetry data captured from heavy equipment in the field Label and annotate machine operation sequences (dig cycles, grading passes, load/dump events, etc.) Identify operator inputs, machine states, and environmental conditions within datasets Flag anomalies, edge cases, or low-quality data captures Complete labeling tasks within assigned deadlines using our internal tools Provide feedback on labeling guidelines based on your field experience Requirements 2+ years hands-on experience operating heavy equipment Proficiency with one or more: excavators, skid steers, bulldozers, motor graders, wheel loaders, or similar Access to a personal computer with reliable internet Documented proof of operating experience (certifications, employment records, operator card, or equivalent) Strong attention to detail; ability to work independently Nice to Have Experience in earthmoving, site prep, grading, or demolition Familiarity with GPS machine control or telematics (Trimble, Leica, Topcon, etc.) OSHA 10 or 30 certification Prior data annotation or QC experience Compensation & Terms Contract-based; paid per task or hourly depending on project scope Hybrid — primarily remote with occasional on-site visits Flexible, asynchronous schedule Rate based on experience, provided upon review
