Heavy Equipment Operator Job Description We are actively looking for strong heavy equipment operators for our Rhode Island division. We specialize in environmental remediation and work in environments such as landfills, lakes, ponds, and oceans. This work will require a strong understanding and ability to operator excavators, loaders, dozers, and skid steers. This position will pay between $35 and $45 an hour depending on skill level. An active Rhode Island hoisting license is required to be considered for this role. Responsibilities Operate heavy machinery such as Excavators, Bulldozers, Loaders, Skid-Steers, and Backhoes. Perform general labor and environmental tasks as needed. Utilize GPS machine control where applicable. Read and interpret plans and construction drawings. Travel within New England as required by project locations. Essential Skills 5-10 years of construction experience. Valid RI hoisting license for RI projects. Valid MA hoisting license with 1C/2A designation for MA projects. OSHA 10 Hour certification. Ability to operate various heavy equipment. Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Additional Skills & Qualifications 40 Hour
