Job Description

GLO Resources is currently hiring an experienced Excavator Operator to work in Florence, SC. The pay rate is between $23- $28 an hour, depending on experience. The schedule is Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., depending on project deadlines. Per diem may be offered based on commuting distance and assignment location. The duration of this project will be 2 years. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a reputable company.
Position Summary:
We are seeking skilled and safety-conscious Excavator Operators with at least 2 years of experience digging and laying pipe in deep excavations (4" to 60" Ductile Iron Pipe). Ideal candidates are team players who are not afraid to get off the machine when help is needed on the ground.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate excavators safely and efficiently in deep trench applications Install Ductile Iron Pipe ranging from 4" to 60" in diameter Use trench boxes and follow all trench safety procedures Perform daily greasing and basic maintenance on equipment Work around existing underground utilities with care and awareness Support ground crews when necessary Maintain a clean and organized job site Other duties may be assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in deep trench excavation and pipe installation Experience operating a 60-ton excavator Familiarity with trench boxes and safe shoring practices Knowledge of working around underground utilities Willingness to assist with groundwork when needed Reliable transportation and flexibility to travel if requested Training or certification in excavation/trench safety (OSHA preferred) or willingness to obtain
Physical Requirements:
This position involves regular physical activity, including: Standing for prolonged periods. Frequent bending, kneeling, and crouching. Pushing and pulling heavy objects. Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
