Job Description
Universal Civil Construction (UCC ) is a civil sitework company in South Carolina. We offer competitive wages along with health insurance and paid time off. We are currently seeking a finish dozer operator with GPS experience who will help build and grow the company and mold our company culture. Job Summary Experienced Bulldozer Operator (5+ years experience required) Typical Duties Follow safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work environment Performing maintenance checks, equipment inspection, daily track cleaning, fueling and greasing Be familiar with excavation plans and machine limitations and follow OSHA safe digging procedures Observe verbal communication, hand signals, grade stakes, grade control devices Be efficient at grading slopes, placing fill material in appropriate lifts thickness, maintaining haul roads, fine grading to within ½ tenth. Complete all duties as directed by supervisors Skill, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience Must have 5+ years experience operating finish dozer fine grading slopes, pads, and pavement areas. Be efficient at operating a dozer. Experience with GPS grade control systems. Able to maintain control of machine while watching the gauges and surrounding work area including people on the ground Knowledge of materials, methods and the tools involved with civil construction Physical ability to walk on uneven surfaces and climb on equipment to inspect and to get to operator's seat Must be able to read and follow all policies and procedures at UCC Requirements Be at least 18 years old 5+ years experience on Dozer Able to pass a Drug test Legally eligible to work in the United States Have a valid driver's license Must have own reliable transportation to and from job site Benefit Package Competitive wages base on experience.
